“Capturing Motivation & Teachable Moments at Home & School”
Presenter: Charity English, B.S.
This informational session will discuss ways to identify and create learning opportunities in a fun and natural learning environment by capitalizing on a learner's interests and curiosity both at home and at school. With an emphasis on the principles of Incidental Teaching, Charity will provide teachers and caregivers with examples and best practices for increasing a learner's ability to request, label, and describe items around him or her. This lecture is ideal for parents, teachers, students, and professionals who work with individuals with limited verbal skills. There is no cost to attend, and a complimentary lunch will be provided by JSC Federal Credit Union following the lecture.
