Beverly Parrish, GHFEDS Treasurer, and her husband Chris want to invite GHFEDS members for a informative meeting about adult residency programs. This is NOT a GHFEDS meeting.
The Parrish's are hosting Jerry Horton (founder of Down Home Ranch in Elgin, TX) in a meeting to discuss and explore the idea of creating a small-scale residential community for adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual or developmental disabilities. Jerry is currently co-founder of the Point Rider Foundation, a team put together to see new home and community options come to fruition using their 30 years of experience in creating a sustainable program like Down Home Ranch. Their goal is to coach interested families and organizations through the process of creating their own small-scale local residency program.
The meeting will be held on August 29, 2019 at 7:00p.m. at Five Solas Church located at 114 N. Park Ave in League City and will begin at 7:00p.m. sharp.
Please note there is no child-care provided and seating is limited to 40 people.
Parking is extremely limited on site and you will need to park across the street (other side of park/gazebo area) and walk across to the church.
