CCISD - Transition Education Evening for Parents and Students

Thursday May 14th -EVENING
(Tentative Time: 6-8:15 p.m.)
Clear Springs HS
What: This is your opportunity to attend family learning sessions presented directly from agency personnel about their services and processes.
There will be three learning session times:
A: 6:00-6:45
B: 6:45-7:30
C: 7:30-8:15
If you attend all three time frames above you can attend three different learning sessions for the evening.
There will be the following topics strands. Not all rpesenters are comfirmed yet, but the strand topics can let you know
Planned Topic Strands:
Strand 1: MHMRA and Medicaid Waiver Services
Strand 2: Post Secondary Education Programs Deigned for Individuals with an Intellectual Disability or Autism (ex: VAST, STRIVE, PATHS, etc)
Strand 3: Transitioning Successfully from High School to College (Accessing the Office of Disability Servcies, Other supports on a college campus, taking the TSI, etc.)
Child Care Available: Our National Honor Society Students from Clear Springs HS will be assisting CCISD special education staff volunteers in providing age appropriate and disability supported child care for any age.
Food Provided as well!!!
