Gclfeds would like to invite you to take a self-guided tour, lunch in the Dining Car, and Train ride at the Galveston Island Railroad Museum.
The self-guided tour starts at 11am and we will tour as a group, the tour consists of history of the railroad and rail cars, inter-active displays, and touring rail cars.
Lunch will be served in the Dining Car, the car holds 40 people, if there are more than 40 people attending then we will have 2 groups, the first group will eat lunch while the second group rides the train and vice versa. Lunch will consist of an assortment of sandwiches, chips, cookies, capri-sun's and bottled water.
***If you or your family members have a dietary restriction please reply with restriction so we can accommodate your needs. Lunch is catered and outside food is Not Allowed.
The train ride will last 15 minutes, please plan to be at the railroad museum for at least 2 hours or longer due to tour, lunch, and train ride.
Park in the designated parking lot at the museum which is free parking, the address is 2602 Santa Fe Place. Parking lots near the railroad museum will charge a fee for parking.
To register for this summer event you must have a current membership in Gclfeds, this event is free for individuals with Down syndrome and their parents, siblings will be charged $5 per sibling. Click

Once registration closes and final count is given to the railroad museum, they will send a schedule for lunch and train ride which will be forwarded to those that registered.
